FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Alcohol?
a) OK to gear check your favorite spirits. Make sure glass is packed well.
b) Beverly Shores and Michigan City package liquor sales available.
c) Friday night dinners at Bartlett's and Damon's - full bar service available. 
d) City Beach New Buffalo does not permit alcohol. Nearby Whittaker Street has several bars and lounges.

Age Limits?
a) Riders must be 18 years or older. 
b) Children in bike trailers not permitted.

Food?
a) SAG stops will have free water and sports drinks, friut, and power snacks.
b) "Along-the-way" Breakfast and Lunches paid by riders.
c) Friday pasta dinner buffet and nonalcoholic drinks included in Ride 'n Dine registration.
d) Saturday afternoon beach barbecue - burgers, hot dogs, salads and nonalcoholic drinks included.

c) Riders are requested to limit checked items to one large suitcase, one small carryon, plus cooler and camping gear as required.

d) Our gear check truck will transport your gear and deliver it to your Friday night motel or campsite in advance of your arrival. Saturday morning, the gear check truck will re-collect your gear and transport it to end-of-ride City Beach, New Buffalo, Michigan; then back to Chicago for those riders taking the shuttle bus ride back to Chicago.

Pace?
a) LeTourdeShore is a self paced touring ride.
b) Ride Itinerary based on 10 mph pace.
b) Don't ride alone.

Parking overnight in Chicago?

We recommend
Millennium Park and Grant Park North Garages. They are well-lit with 24 hour security on-duty. If you have a bike rack, garages can generally accomodate vehicles up to 6'-8"; some areas up to 8'-2". For more information contact  Millennium Park and Grant Park North Garages at (312) 616 0600.

Safety?
a) Obey all traffic laws and regulations.
b) Wear a bicycle helmet and bright colored clothing.
c) Do a bike safety check before the ride to make sure your bike is in good working order.
d) Signal turns and stops.

Saturday Only Riding?
No problem to ride Saturday only. Use mail-in form. Write "2ND DAY ONLY".
