FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Alcohol?
a) OK to gear check your favorite spirits. Make sure glass is packed well.
b) Town of Pines package and dine-in liquor sales available.
c) Warren Dunes State Park permits beer and wine in designated Le Tour de Shore beach barbecue area.

Age Limits?
a) Riders must be 18 years or older. 
b) Children in bike trailers not permitted.

Food?
a) SAG vehicles will carry plenty of free cold water and sports drinks, and power snacks.
b) "Along-the-way" Breakfast and Lunches paid by riders.
c) Friday nightswim beach party - pasta dinner and nonalcoholic drinks included.
d) Saturday evening beach barbecue - burgers, hot dogs, salads and nonalcoholic drinks included.

c) Riders are requested to limit checked items to one large suitcase, one small carryon, plus cooler and camping gear as required.

d) SAG vehicles will tote gear and deliver to your Friday night motel or campground site, Town of Pines, Indiana.  Saturday morning, SAG vehicles will re-collect gear and tote to end-of-ride Warren Dunes, Sawyer, Michigan, then back to Chicago for those riders taking the Shuttle ride back to Chicago.

Pace?
a) LeTourdeShore is a self paced touring ride.
b) Ride Itinerary based on 10 mph pace.
b) Don't ride alone.

Parking overnight in Chicago?

We recommend
Millennium Park and Grant Park North Garages. They are well-lit with 24 hour security on-duty. If you have a bike rack, garages can generally accomodate vehicles up to 6'-8"; some areas up to 8'-2". For more information contact  Millennium Park and Grant Park North Garages at (312) 616 0600.
24 hour rate $22-28 (subject to change).

Safety?
a) Obey all traffic laws and regulations.
b) Wear a bicycle helmut and bright colored clothing.
c) Do a bike safety check before the ride to make sure your bike is in good working order.
d) Signal turns and stops.

Saturday Only Riding?
No problem to Ride 2nd Day Only. Use mail-in form. Write "2ND DAY ONLY".
Sorry, no on-line 2nd Day Only registration.
